Taylor & Sons Ltd were awarded the contract to design, manufacture and install a set of mitre gates on the River Witham at Walcott in Lincoln by Faber Maunsell and the Environmnet Agency.
The contract included the removal of the existing of the existing mitre gates and temporary works during the construction phase.
Taylor & Sons were awarded this contract on the basis that they were the only contractor to guarantee a delivery to the timescale requested by the client - a programme achieved.
