Peel Harbour – Tidal Gate and Swing Bridge

Taylor and Sons Ltd start the supply and installation of the Tidal Impoundment Gate and Swing Bridge in The Isle of Man.

This project will allow the present tidal harbour to act as a Marina by impounding the sea at low tide via an automatic flap gate.

Early next year an automatic swing bridge will be installed allowing pedestrian and cycles to cross the marina at all states of the tide.

The structure was Designed by KGA Ltd. of Bournemouth.

Taylor and Sons Ltd are carrying out the complete supply, manufacture, painting and installation.

All Instrumentation, electrics, hydraulics and control software is included in Taylor and Sons Ltd. Main Contract Scope.
